First day of 1st grade

Aniela is off to first grade! She is excited to have four of her girlfriends in her class and to have Ms. Newton as her teacher.  

Durham Bulls Camp Out

Aniela's Daisy troop had the opportunity to camp out at the Durham Bulls game.  The girl scouts got to attend the game and then camp out on the baseball field.  The boys stayed with the Arwoods and Aniela got us all to herself!  It was a lot of fun and a perfect place to camp and our tent stayed up all night!  

Blue Jay Point

Raleigh has such beautiful parks and recreational areas.  It's one of the reasons we love it here and love raising our family here.  We headed to Blue Jay point (only 15 min away) and the kids loved hiking the trails and wading in the water.

Meet the Teacher

Aniela went to meet her first grade teacher Ms. Newton.  She is so very excited to start first grade!

Pullen Park

Headed to the park for a fun afternoon ... summer is ticking away

Raleigh Museum of Science

We met the Barnes for a day at the museum in downtown Raleigh before the kids had to go back to school.

Go Outside and Play

We met the Pfanmillers in Garner for a fun day at the outside play park.  Kids loved the tunnel slide and the baby pool section.  They're favorite was definitely the rope swing!

NC Farmer's Market - Watermelon Day

We headed to the Farmer's Market with the Arwoods to celebrate Watermelon Day.  We saw the largest melon in NC and tasted lots of juicy watermelon.
